Accessibility Statement

We are committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all visitors and that the user experience is as positive and inclusive as possible.

This website has been designed with accessibility in mind and assessed through self-evaluation in accordance with the Act on the Accessibility of Products and Services for Persons with Disabilities (ZDPSI, Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 14/23), which came into effect on 28 June 2025.

Compliance Status

The website has been developed using HTML5 and CSS3, with certain interactive elements powered by the jQuery JavaScript library. It has been tested for functionality and display across a wide range of modern and older browsers, devices, and operating systems.

Our website aims to comply with WCAG 2.1 Level AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1) and to follow best practices for accessible, user-friendly design.

To ensure compatibility with assistive technologies such as screen readers, the site also incorporates the WAI-ARIA specification (Web Accessibility Initiative – Accessible Rich Internet Applications). This includes alternative text for images, labels for form fields and buttons, and other semantic attributes to enhance usability.

Accessibility Features

A dedicated accessibility tool is available on the website and can be accessed by clicking the accessibility icon in the bottom-right corner. This tool allows users to:

  • Navigate more easily using keyboard controls
  • Enable a larger mouse pointer (white or black)
  • Switch between light and dark contrast modes
  • View colors in grayscale
  • Use a font optimized for people with dyslexia
  • Increase text size and enable bold text
  • Highlight links for easier identification

Keyboard shortcuts are also available to further support navigation.

Areas for Improvement

For optimal functionality, improved user experience, and security, the website relies on the JavaScript scripting language. Without proper browser support for JavaScript, navigation may be more difficult, and some features—such as pop-up forms—may not work as intended.

We recognize that certain WCAG guidelines can be subject to interpretation and that best practices evolve over time.

The implementation of some additional accessibility features is not currently economically feasible but will be considered in the next redesign of the website.
